A primary objective of the symposium, and hence this issue, is to examine contemporary labor issues and how labor stakeholders have responded to these issues in both traditional and innovative ways. Specifically, this issue examines the role of law in shaping the composition of the workforce, conditions of work, and the degree to which workers can (and do) contest unfair labor practices through legal means.
